Apple has unveiled its groundbreaking personal intelligence system called Apple Intelligence. This system is deeply integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, aiming to transform how users interact with their devices.

Apple Intelligence combines the power of generative models with personal context to deliver incredibly useful and relevant intelligence. It can understand and create language and images, take actions across apps, and simplify everyday tasks.
Writing Tools for Enhanced Communication
One of the standout features is the systemwide Writing Tools built into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. These tools allow users to rewrite, proofread, and summarize text nearly everywhere they write, including Mail, Notes, Pages, and third-party apps. Ex-OpenAI Chief Launches Bold New AI Firm
Ilya Sutskever, one of OpenAI’s co-founders and former chief scientist, has recently launched a new company called Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI). This venture comes just one month after his departure from OpenAI.
The Mission of SSI
SSI’s mission is clear: to build safe superintelligence. Sutskever and his team are committed to addressing the critical technical challenge of creating AI systems that are both highly capable and safe. They emphasize revolutionary engineering and scientific breakthroughs to achieve this goal.
A Singular Focus on Safety
Unlike OpenAI, which initially operated as a non-profit organization, SSI is designed from the ground up as a for-profit entity. Sutskever and his team are dedicated to advancing capabilities rapidly while ensuring safety remains a top priority. Their business model insulates safety, security, and progress from short-term commercial pressures.
Musk's AI Factory Gets Supercharged by Dell & Nvidia
Dell Technologies Inc, led by CEO Michael Dell, has partnered with NVIDIA Corporation to construct an AI Factory aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Grok, an AI model developed by Elon Musk’s company, xAI. Grok, a generative AI chatbot, was created in response to the growing popularity of ChatGPT, a product of OpenAI (co-founded by Musk). Grok, based on a large language model, can process a wide range of visual information, including documents, diagrams, charts, screenshots, and photographs, in addition to its robust text capabilities.
Super Micro Computer (SMC)
Collaboration In response to a query about another collaborator, Musk mentioned “SMC,” which stands for Super Micro Computer. SMC, a server manufacturer based in San Francisco, has confirmed its partnership with xAI. Known for its strong relationships with chip companies like NVIDIA and innovative liquid-cooling technology, SMC plays a crucial role in powering Grok’s capabilities.
The Gigafactory of Compute
xAI has ambitious plans to construct a supercomputer, dubbed the “Gigafactory of Compute,” expected to be operational by fall 2025. This venture, in collaboration with Oracle, aims to enhance Grok’s capabilities. The upcoming supercomputer will utilize up to 100,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs based on the Hopper architecture, potentially making it four times larger than existing GPU clusters. Musk’s move reflects an attempt to outclass rival GPU clusters in terms of size and capabilities.
